of Selected Projects – a brief overview of some of our recent projects

Phelps Lane Pool Facility
North Babylon, New York

New two-story 19,000 square foot multiuse building for public swimming
pool facility.
The facility included a day care center, offices, locker facilities
and meeting rooms, as well as a new pump and filter building,which
contained equipment to operate the swimming pool.

New York University
New York, New York
Architect:
Graf & Lewent Architects
Renovations to an existing high rise building to accommodate new
classroom, computer lab and office functions for the Physics Department.
Alterations were performed on multiple levels of the building.
Bladykas Engineering also provided engineering services for
renovations to the Music and Fine Arts departments.
Project:
Western Suffolk BOCES
Dix Hills, New York
Replacement of existing well water cooled building air conditioning
system serving 70,000 square foot educational building with new
high-efficiency evaporative cooled chilled water system.
New system was designed with full redundancy to increase reliability
due to medically fragile student occupants.
Project:
Riverhead County Center Powerplant Upgrade
Riverhead, New York
Owner:
Suffolk County Department of Public Works
Replacement of two 850-ton chilled water refrigeration machines with new
high-efficiency electric-drive refrigeration machines.
The refrigeration machines serve a central utility plant, which
provides heating and cooling to several County facilities, including a
large correctional facility, police facility and county center.

Islandia Shopping Center
Islandia, New York
Owner:
Skyline Management Inc.
Alteration/remodel of several retail tenant spaces within the facility.
Project:
North Shore - Long Island Jewish Health Systems
Great Neck, New York
Bladykas Engineering P.C. has provided engineering services for several
projects within the facility.
Projects included replacement of the chilled water refrigeration
machines with new high-efficiency equipment, improvements to the dialysis
unit filtration system, and modifications to the HVAC system serving the
sleep center.

Riverhead Correctional Facility
Riverhead, New York
Owner:
Suffolk County Department of Public Works
General improvements to plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical and
security building systems within this 300,000 square foot medium and
maximum security facility.
