of Selected Projects – a brief overview of some of our recent projects
Project:
Cornell Cooperative Extension
Riverhead, New York
Architect:
James M. Campbell Architects, P.C.
New three-story 36,000 square foot office building. The majority of the
building was designed to accommodate Cornell Cooperative Extension office
and laboratory functions; other portions of the building were designed
for various Suffolk County government agencies.
Bladykas Engineering designed the HVAC, plumbing, fire protection,
telecommunications and electrical systems in the building as well as the
electrical, gas, water and sewer services from the public street to the
building.

Isamu Noguchi Museum
Long Island City, New York
Architect:
Sage & Coombe Architects
Complete renovation of a 29,000 square foot museum/industrial building,
including a change of occupancy from industrial to public assembly.
The project required the complete replacement of all mechanical and
electrical systems within the building. Special HVAC systems were
provided to control temperature and humidity in various exhibit and
storage spaces. New electrical, gas, water, sewer and storm drainage
services were designed for the building.

Domus Design Collection Showroom
New York, New York
Architect:
Philip Johnson / Alan Ritchie Architects
Complete renovation of a 19,000 square foot multilevel high-end retail
space.
The project required the complete replacement of all mechanical and
electrical systems within the space.
Project:
Rallye Lexus Automobile Dealership
Glen Cove, New York
Architect:
Smiros & Smiros Architects, LLP
Renovations and additions to a 32,000 square foot car dealership and
repair facility. The project was complicated by the requirement to keep
the facility open during construction, which required the construction to
be completed in four separate phases.
High end lighting fixtures helped to enhance the luxury feeling inside
the dealership. New electrical, gas, water and sewer services were
designed for the building.
Project:
Middle Country Central School District
Centereach, New York
Architect:
James M. Campbell Architects, P.C.
Renovations and additions to ten elementary schools, two junior high
schools, two senior high schools, and one administration building,
totaling approximately 1,300,000 square feet. The construction cost of
the work designed by Bladykas Engineering, P.C. was approximately
$15,000,000. (Photograph is of one of the High Schools.)
The scope of work included many science labs, computer labs,
libraries, classrooms and other spaces within the various schools.
Systems involved included public address, master clock, HVAC, fire alarm,
plumbing and electrical.
Project:
Massapequa Medical Center
Seaford, New York
Architect:
Angelo Francis Corva & Associates, Architects
Renovations and additions to a former 20,000 square foot hospital
building to convert it into a new multi-tenant medical office facility,
involving cardiology, endoscopy, gastroenterology and urology.
The project included new offices, waiting rooms, exam rooms, procedure
rooms, lounges, and a small gymnasium. The endoscopy tenant required an
emergency generator and intercom system, due to the use of anesthesia.
Each medical tenant was given a separate electric and gas meter.
Utilities from the street included a new water service with backflow
preventer, electrical and gas services.

Webb Institute
Glen Cove, New York
Campus-wide information technology and electrical power upgrade.
The project included a new emergency generator, 5 KV and 15 KV
electrical service upgrade and 277/480 Volt and 120/208 Volt distribution
to 11 separate buildings on the site.
